It would have been difficult to determine that Judas was the one who would betray Jesus. Judas, from all appearances was a righteous and holy man. All of the disciples asked, "is it I, Lord?" At the time, they did not know Judas was stealing from them. They did not know who Judas was or what he would do.

But Jesus knows who you are under the appearances you display. "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth." Rev 3:16.
