A Good Soldier

"You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." 2 Timothy 2:3-4

Scripture uses the description of 'soldier' in a few places to describe God's people (Philemon 1:2, Philippians 2:25), and so it is important to think about what that will mean for us as we seek to serve in God's kingdom.
