Devoted to Prayer

"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving" Colossians 4:2
 
Prayer is something that should be seen as important in the life of the Christian. It is the means that God has given to His people to talk to Him, to give thanks, and to make our requests made known to Him. Paul says in the passage above that prayer is something we should be devoted to, and in the letter to the church at Thessalonica he spoke of prayer as something that should be done without ceasing. Does your prayer life demonstrate someone who is devoted to this act as Paul says we should? Do you utilize prayer as often as you should for all the things going on in your life, in the life of your brethren, and in the world in general?
