A Christian's Speech
"Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things." James 3:4-5
God has given us a powerful tool, and yet in comparison to the rest of the body it is insignificant. With our tongues we can impart knowledge or use it for deception. We can build someone up, and just as easily we can tear someone down. While the tongue can be used either for good or evil, the Christian on the must learn to control their tongue, seeking to only use it for good. In Ephesians 5 in the first seven verses we read about some of the things the Christian should not use their tongues for and yet it would seem by what Paul says in v6 that some were deceived into thinking such things were okay.
Join us as we discuss the proper use of the tongue, and what the Christians Speech should sound like.
